Happiness Health Benefits

For years, scientists have reasoned  that happiness may have a real effect on physical health, but a well detailed new review makes the case stronger than ever.

The review, published in Applied
Psychology: Health and Well-Being, examines the effects of “subjective well-being”—a measure of how people evaluate their own lives—on various aspects of physical health. The topic has been studied extensively; the paper references more than 20 previous literature reviews and more than 150 individual studies. Click here to read more.

These studies have confirmed, with “almost no doubt,” that happiness really can influence health, says lead author Edward Diener, professor of social psychology at the University of Utah.

Right from time though, man has long recognized a close link between health and happiness. Hippocrates, thought of as "the father of medicine," stated: "A wise man should consider that health is the greatest of human blessings." German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer noted: "The two foes of human happiness are pain and boredom."

Other Benefits Of Being Happy.

If you are happy, you will always have inner peace and this will make you feel relaxed and sleep better. Recent studies has shown that  that people suffering from disease conditions like diabetes and some coronary heart disease always feel at ease if thier family, friends and other loved ones encourage them during their ordeal.

Also, Happy people don't age quickly. According to studies, people who are always happy are less likely to develop aging factors quickly such as wrinkles and grey hair. So if you are looking for beauty tips, work on your mood first.

Happiness makes you cope better with stress and trauma.

Happiness causes clear changes in your body that strengthen your immune system, boost positive emotions and reduces  pain and inflammation.
